It’s always a hoot when you get to work and realize that you’re unintentionally twinning with a coworker. My lovely friend Sarah and I had to document this lovely coincidence where I wore a purple dress with a cutout and a black jacket and she wore a black dress with a cutout and a purple scarf 😉

Hey friends, as summer winds down (or so we think…) we only have a few chances to wear summer clothes for maybe one (or two) last times. Here’s a cute BR ponte dress I got from Poshmark a while ago but have yet to wear. There will definitely be another month of summery clothes 🙂

navy & black workwear wednesday

It’s Workwear Wednesday again and this week I’m thankful for:

• It’s a short work week!
• I just got a dope haircut (Culture Salon in Durham)
• Friends, family, & seriously amazing coworkers!

I have a lot of black clothes and a lot of blue/navy clothes and I find the color combination chic and classic (I also love black and brown together). Last week I finally bit the bullet and got the MM Lafleur Sant Ambroeus Jardigan (on ebay) and y’all…I love it. You might be seeing a lot of this Jardigan on here.

• work has been so incredibly busy (this is not new)
• my mom moved back home to California to start school. Good luck, mom!
• dear husband, myself, and our friends went on vacation to Asheville and saw the eclipse totality in Brevard, NC!
• I’ve been wearing a lot of dresses
• I GOT A TATTOO
• the kitten is still cute, and still a handful

my go-to work uniform {workwear wednesday}

Humidity. Crazy kitten. Busy. Work. More work. More work.

If I had to describe my week using only a few words, this would be them. I’ve been wearing my go-to work uniform often this summer: dark skinnies, sandals, blouse, jacket. Chic, effortless, and easy! Also, I laughed when I noticed that our neighbor’s car was in the background of my photos. Oops 😉
