monochrome {a workwear wednesday post}

I wake up and it’s dark, I get home from work and it’s dark, it’s been cold and gloomy. While I welcome a break from the summer, I find myself cold and tired. Enter an all black monochrome outfit — as black as my heart (well not really, but I really need some more sunlight in my life).

But you really can’t go wrong with black. It’s stylish, classic, and matches pretty much anything. Plus nobody can tell if you spill coffee on your dress (true story).

boots & tights {finally!}

It’s Workwear Wednesday again and I am happy to report that the weather in North Carolina has finally decided it’s fall. Today is the first day I wore boots and tights this season, and I’m pretty excited about it.

very vintage workwear wednesday

What a week, y’all. Summer is most definitely not over (it’s been HOT). Work has been pure chaos. But, I got new glasses and I wore my new vintage-inspired Lazybones dress and I felt super cute at work. Sorry for janky photos; these were taken after an 11 hour work-day and I was beat:)

It’s always a hoot when you get to work and realize that you’re unintentionally twinning with a coworker. My lovely friend Sarah and I had to document this lovely coincidence where I wore a purple dress with a cutout and a black jacket and she wore a black dress with a cutout and a purple scarf 😉

Hey friends, as summer winds down (or so we think…) we only have a few chances to wear summer clothes for maybe one (or two) last times. Here’s a cute BR ponte dress I got from Poshmark a while ago but have yet to wear. There will definitely be another month of summery clothes 🙂
