workwear wednesday: neutrals

Hi friends. Today I wanted to share with you my newly thrifted Halogen blouse and Old Navy polka dot cardigan that I picked up at Salvation Army over the weekend. Obviously one of my favorite things about thrift shopping is finding NEW clothes for a fraction of the price. This blouse, for example, was new with the tags still attacked – from Nordstrom – where this shirt cost a whopping $69. I only paid $5 for it. Win.

And a bit about neutrals. For the longest time I was dead set against neutral colors for clothes. Why? Because I thought they were a) boring and b) did not work with my skin color and clashed terribly. Recently, I found out how pairing neutrals with a pop of color (or not) can actually enhance my appearance instead of detracting from it. Now I love neutrals.

And another thing: These new styles of blouses that have a longer butt flap to cover your bottom – I am kinda liking it. workwear wednesday neutrals - halogen tie blouse, NYDJ leggings from ThredUp, Bernie Mev mary janes, Old navy polka dot cardigan workwear wednesday neutrals - halogen tie blouse, NYDJ leggings from ThredUp, Bernie Mev mary janes, Old navy polka dot cardigan

Do you like to wear neutrals to work or for whatever activity? Or do you prefer brighter colors?

back to basics {a thrift style thursday post}

Hi friends!

I am so happy about this week’s TST post: back to basics. My favorite wardrobe basics are color-based or article-based. I wore my favorite khaki skinnies, black tank top, kimono type jacket, coach crossbody, and birkenstocks.

army chic + another ThredUp order!

Hey friends, I wanted to share with you my new lovely Gap ‘army’ jacket and my lovely ThredUp pants. I found this lovely jacket at Goodwill last weekend. Yeah, it was $10, which is more than I like to spend at Goodwill on jackets but I’m so glad I did. I’m not sure how old or new it is but it’s in perfect condition with a really cool interior.

Now onto the pants. I needed some pants that were more summer-y and I looked to ThredUp for great prices. I cannot get enough of ThredUp. I order 3 pairs of pants from them a few weeks ago and the prices just can’t be beat. I got 2 pairs of NYDJ grey khakis/jeggings and 1 pair of Gap khakis for summer. They were on average $15 each! I’d appreciate you using my referral code if you’re thinking of ordering from ThredUp – you get $10 off your first order!

I hope you liked my outfit!

xo,
Nout
